About The Artist
My artwork has accompanied me on my journey through life. Different stages, different styles. From traditional to more free flowing, learning and growing all the way.
The esoteric quality of the Hebrew letters speaks to me. My first husband z”l and our sons would help me find quotes of meaning, from Tehillim, Pirkei Avos, etc. We came to Israel often as our sons were growing up, celebrating our older son’s Bar Mitzvah in Jerusalem during Sukkos. On our return to Minneapolis, I would spend days cutting out Jerusalem collages, my longing for being in Jerusalem pouring into every piece.
And then loss and grief, I started scribbling out my emotions. Slowly coming to terms with my new reality. Intermingling hope and striving towards nechamah. Ultimately gratitude to Hashem, for a new chapter of my life, here in Jerusalem.
As I present my art, an extension of myself,
I hope one will gain chizuk and nechama and move towards joy.
